On Boxing Day 2012, we embarked on a journey to Singapore to visit Wei's mother and family. Sheila, our travel planner extraordinaire, had also arranged flights to Thailand, Laos, and Penang, Malaysia. This was a unique experience for us since it was the first time we flew eastward instead of crossing the Pacific. We took a direct flight to London and then non-stop to Singapore on the Airbus 380, the world's largest commercial plane. Additionally, this trip marked our first time exploring Southeast Asia together.
The visit to the Chinatown Heritage Museum brought back memories of growing up in Singapore.
The Karen Tribe women, aka Long Necks have taken to Sheila who appears like a giant to these friendly people.
